Professional shogi player Itaru Hamachi has entered his thirties with his shyness still intact. While it would be fine if he just didn't have any romantic stories, but he hasn't been able to quite focus on his main profession of shogi as he’s been repeatedly promoted and demoted in Class C for five years. During that time, Itaru’s relationship with Ayumu evolves, the current store manager and granddaughter of the former manager of Okita Shokudo, a restaurant that he’s been visiting due to an unexpected incident.
